Don't attract what you don't want

by

Complaining is a very potent form of negative affirming, and as far as the Law of Attraction is concerned, a dangerous habit.

Complaining is combining negative affirmation with negative emotions. It is also very often accompanied with negative visualizations - as we replay in our minds the negatives we are complaining about. To make matters worse, most complaining is done out loud, giving it even more power.

From a purely Law-of-Attraction perspective, when you complain you are attracting into your life more of whatever you are complaining about. From the perspective of your subconscious mind, complaining puts emphasis on something, which your mind takes as meaning it's important to you, and therefore it should try to create more of it in your life.

A few examples:

"How's your arthritis?"
"Worse than ever!"
(Attraction focus: arthritis will not improve - Subconscious focus: make it worse)

"How's the new job?"
"Stressful!"
(Attraction focus: more stress at work - Subconscious focus: up the stress levels)

"How are the kids?"
"Driving me crazy!"
(Attraction focus: misbehaving children - Subconscious focus: up the stress levels)

"What's new?"
"Same old..."
(Attraction focus: more of the same - Subconscious focus: avoid anything new)

Remember, what you continually talk about, comes about.

Jack Canfield

What you focus on, what you talk about with emotion, what you visualize ... these are the things that you are attracting more of in your life. It may be a hard pill to swallow, but when you complain about the things in your life, you are actually creating a life which will continually give you reasons to complain.

Do yourself a favor. Focus on what you want, not on what you don't want.
