Subconscious mind
Most people go through life without ever realizing that this tremendously powerful subconscious mind even exits; let alone understanding how to use it properly to get whatever they want.

It never rests, for it keeps right on working for you even when you are asleep. You need only to activate it and put its power to work in your life.

Your subconscious mind does not think or act on its own volition or its own initiative. It’s primary purpose is to achieve the goals that have been given to it by your conscious mind.

Conscious Direction
If you do not give your subconscious mind any goals to reach or problems to solve, it will never work for you. But if you do give it specific goals and concrete objectives to attain – it will go all-out to achieve them for you.

Your subconscious mind is completely impersonal. It is not capable of making moral judgments or determining the difference between right and wrong, good and evil. That is the sole responsibility of your conscious mind. Your subconscious mind will work automatically and impersonally to achieve the goals you have set for it, no matter what they are, good or evil, right or wrong, moral or immoral. If you will remember, that is the primary purpose and responsibility of your subconscious mind – to achieve the goals and objectives that have been given to it by your conscious mind.

Conscious Mind
Your conscious mind uses logic, deduction, and reasoning to reach its conclusions and make its decisions. Your choices, your decisions as to what you will or will not do are made by your conscious mind, not your subconscious mind .

One of the most important duties of your conscious mind is to tell your subconscious mind what you want and then to believe with all your heart that you will receive what you have asked for. You must shut the door of your conscious mind on every thought or suggestions of worry or fear or failure. Once you gain the ability to do this, absolutely nothing is impossible for you to achieve.

Subconscious mind
Your subconscious mind does not use logic or reason or moral judgment to perform its tasks or carry out its responsibilities. It takes the thoughts you send to it and works them out to their proper conclusions. If you send it thoughts of health and strength, it will bring health and strength to your body. But if you let suggestions of disease or fear of sickness penetrate through to your sub/mind, either through your own thoughts or the talk of those around you, then you can easily become sick yourself.

Reality
… it is important for you to know that your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a real experience and one that you imagine… your subconscious mind reacts, not only to what is actually true, but also to what you imagine.

You Get What You Sow
If you plant tomatoes, you will raise tomatoes. If you sow onions, then you will grow onions. We all understand this natural law and we work with it. Unfortunately, many people do not understand that the same exact principle applies to the subconscious mind .

Inspiration
Nearly all the discoveries in their research laboratories come as hunches or flashes of inspiration during a period of complete relaxation after a session of intensive thinking, brainstorming, and fact-gathering.

When you get the answer to the problem from your subconscious mind – and you most certainly will when you learn to relax and let it do the work for you – then put the solution you have been given into effect immediately. Don’t hesitate. Go ahead and solve your problem now that you know its correct solution.

You will usually receive your instructions as hunches, intuitions, or flashes of inspiration.

You must be ready to write the answer down the moment the message comes to you. It will never come again as clearly as it does the first time. In fact, in most cases it will never come again. Your subconscious mind can be very stubborn. It figures once is enough; take it or leave it.

If you want to receive inspiration or an intuitive hunch about how to do something, you must first of all be deeply interested in solving a specific problem or finding a better way of doing things. Above all, you must have a burning desire, yes, even an overpowering obsession, to solve that problem.

Visualization
You can have whatever you can visualize if you believe that it is possible. A new car, a bigger house, a better job, a happier home life, all these can be yours. Your subconscious mind will react automatically to give you whatever you program into it, either real or imagined.

While it is necessary for you to feel and think you are going to be successful. It is important to go one step further and actually see yourself as already being successful.

You can visualize with your conscious mind all these good things that you want. And when you program your desires into your subconscious mind believing that you can have them – or better yet, believing that you already have them – your subconscious mind will go to work for you to devise the methods that will make your fantasy come true.

Goals
Your subconscious mind can operate in only one way. Since it is a goal-seeking mechanism, it must be given a goal to reach, an objective do attain. You must see clearly in your conscious mind exactly what you want before your subconscious mind can go to work for you.

Your subconscious mind needs a goal to reach, an objective to achieve before it will go into action.

A Six-Step Program to help you become successful:
1. set a definite goal
2. develop a plan to achieve your goal
3. develop a deep and sincere desire
4. never let fear of failure enter you mind
5. develop supreme confidence in yourself
6. be persistent… follow through. Don’t quit. Never give up.

Goals must be:
1. concrete and specific – intangible and nonspecific goals are impossible to visualize for they are too vague and abstract.
2. your goal must be measurable – you should be able to judge your progress.
3. Your goal should have a definite time period.

Acknowledge the Benefits
If you want to get out of the rut of boredom and complacency, then you must make your goal exciting and worthwhile. One of the best ways to do this is to visualize all the benefits you’re going to gain when you reach your goal.

No Limits
Don’t be afraid to shoot for the moon when you establish your goal. You may have to use some intermediate goals as stepping stones to your final one, but don’t sell yourself short. Whatever you can imagine, you can achieve.

Intention
The most important incentive in getting your subconscious mind to give you a new idea is pressure, a requirement, a need or an urgency for getting the job done.

Unless this sense of urgency exists, your subconscious mind will not come up with new ideas for your. It will not try to figure out a better way of doing things, unless you’ve given it a valid reason to do so.

Keep it Private
The best way to keep others from turning off your creativity is to keep your transactions with your subconscious mind a deep secret all to yourself. Criticism and ridicule from others can quickly and completely destroy your confidence in yourself and in your subconscious mind’s ability to help you.

Problem-Solving
Create a problem-solving climate for your subconscious mind
1. have a specific goal
2. believe… that your subconscious mind will give you the answer you need
3. gather all the facts
4. feed all the facts into subconscious mind and request a solution
5. relax – wait patiently and watch diligently for the answer
6. take immediate action when you receive the answer from your subconscious mind

Concentrate on the solution, not the problem. If you will concentrate on your goal and keep the fear of failure out of your mind, your subconscious mind will take care of the rest for you. Its powers will supply the answers you need to achieve your objective.

Take Action
To reach a goal, action is necessary. You must do more than just think about it. You must actually do something.

If you want to be a painter – you must paint. If you want to be a writer – then you must write.

Negative Thinking
If you are going to control your life, then, you must first control your thoughts. You must be extremely careful what you think about, for your subconscious mind never forgets what you program into it, either good or bad.

Self-image
To worry and fret and stew about what other people might think about you is a complete waste of time. You never become what other people think of you. You become only what you think of yourself, and that, after all, is what really counts.

There are certain physical characteristics you can develop to convey the feeling that you are a winner: a steady, unflinching gaze, a tone of voice that implies complete self-confidence, and, above all, a solid presence that lets people know you are exactly where you ought to be.

Focus
When you focus your attention on the present, you can become completely responsive to it, aware of your present goals and what you have to do to reach them. If you find your mind wondering back to the past or straying forward to the future, bring it back to the present immediately.

Wealth
Only five out of every 100 people become financially successful. By the retirement age of 65, only one of these people is truly wealthy. Four are financially independent. Of the remaining 95, five are still working, 26 have already died, and 54 are completely broke.

Work
1. make yourself valuable
2. be dependable
3. give more
4. make the extra effort
5. give more than others
6. give more than paid for

Habit-Busting
Five techniques to be used – to get rid of bad habits
1. you must reach the point you can no longer tolerate yourself the way you are, or the situation the way it is
2. you must want to be free of your bad habit more than you want to hang on to it
3. you must establish tangible concrete goals to be reached
4. you must reprogram your subconscious mind with these new concepts, attitudes and ideas
5. do it one day at a time

Remember that your conscious mind furnishes the willpower necessary to take only the first step in breaking your bad habit. It makes the decision to do so, but that is as far as it can go. Before you can break your bad habit, you must use your imagination to reprogram your subconscious mind with positive thoughts of benefits that will overcome and override the negative input that caused your bad habit in the first place.

Procrastination
If procrastination is one of your major problems, you are not alone. It has been estimated that this habit afflicts 90-95% of us. Why do people procrastinate? Because we would rather do what we like to do and put off until tomorrow, or preferably next week or even next month – maybe if we are lucky even forever – those things we don’t like to do.

Priorities
Don’t make major decisions on minor matters. Save your real efforts for the big and important decisions you have to make. Don’t give yourself a migraine headache trying to decide whether to have string beans or asparagus for supper.

Health
Your imagination can ‘keep you well or it can make you sick. It’s all up to you. When your conscious mind programs your subconscious mind with the idea of good health, they you will be well. But if you program your subconscious mind with fear and thoughts of disease, then you will most certainly become sick.

Relationships
If you are kind to others they will be kind to you. If you are courteous to others they will be courteous to you. And if you are friendly to others, then they will be friendly to you.

Praise a person and you’ll win his loyal friendship. He’ll love you for it. So tell him what a magnificent job he’s doing… how you couldn’t get along without him… how happy you are that he is your friend.

If you want to know the secret of being liked by everyone wherever you go, then learn to give your wholehearted attention to the other person. Every individual in this whole wide world, from the smallest baby to the oldest man or woman, wants the attention of others. He wants to be listened to, he wants to be heard. He wants others to listen to his ideas, his opinions, his suggestions, and his recommendations. He has a deep and burning desire – even an insatiable craving – to be important, to be great, to be famous. And one of the best methods you can use to make a person feel important is to pay attention to him and to what he says.

Perseverance
Perseverance is the ability to put up with pain, pressure, fatigue, distress, and disappointment. It is the golden key that can turn temporary failure into permanent success, defeat into victory.

Statistics show that 80% of all sales are made on the 5th call, yet 48% of salesmen never go back after the 1st unsuccessful call. 25% quit after the 2nd call; 12% give it up after the 3rd one, and 5% throw in the towel after the 4th time. But the 10% keep calling and they make 80% of the sales.

One-line quotes worth noting:

Within every human being is an infinite, unlimited, and powerful force that works ever better than the most sophisticated modern computer… the subconscious mind.

Your subconscious mind remembers its successes, discards its failures, and repeats the successful actions as a matter of habit without any further thought or directions from your conscious mind.

It matters not to your sub/mind what its goals are. If you program it for success, you will be successful. If you program it for failure, you will fail.

The primary purpose of your sub/mind is to achieve the goals and objectives that have been given to it by your conscious mind.

Bad thoughts and bad actions can never produce good results.

Imagination is the golden key that will unlock the door to the abundant life for all mankind.

Your subconscious mind will not take the trouble to work for you if you do not believe in it.

Imagination without initiative would more properly be called idle daydreaming.

Imagination plus initiative – the power of commencing – makes the difference between the thinker who does something and the daydreamer who accomplishes nothing.

If you are just coasting along, taking it easy, unwilling to make the extra effort that’s required for success, you subconscious mind will coast along too.

Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal.

People always have the highest regard for the person who remains calm in the face of trouble.

Success is not the result of making money; making money is the result of success.

A great many people are handicapped by having a poverty complex.

One of the most important steps you can ever take in your entire life is to find out what you’re best suited for in the first place.

You can do nothing that is in conflict with your own image of what you really are.

Courage is not the absence of fear… it is the control of fear.

When ever imagination and willpower are in conflict with each other – whenever they are pulling in opposite directions – imagination will always win.

Whether the sun is shining or whether its snowing or raining, it can be a terrific day if you will just choose to make it so.
