Are your affirmations propelling you into action?

by

One of the most important things to do when affirming your desires is to follow through with action. Nothing happens without action. Unfortunately, many of the proponents of the Law of Attraction fail to emphasize this important detail. We can and do attract into our lives what we think about and talk about, but action always speaks louder than words.

Affirming your desires is an important first step. We can use affirmations to define our goals and reinforce our commitment towards them. Positive affirmations can help us believe that our goals are within our reach. But they should also act as catalysts. They should motivate us to action.

Simply affirming and visualizing your desire without taking appropriate action is not going to impress anyone, including the universe. You need to demonstrate your faith and commitment.

An effective way to create affirmations that will propel you into action is to use specific action verbs when writing them. The more you use, the more directed and motivated your life will become. There are obvious verbs that one should include when affirming specific life changes, such as ‘exercise’ for fitness affirmations, and ‘eat’ for health affirmations. But there are also many action verbs that are very helpful in creating and affirming your action plan.

A lengthy list of Action Plan Verbs is provided in our Resources section. Use as many as you can in your goal affirmations and you will find yourself moving forward every day.
